Foods for Fun and High Energy
Food has been called fuel (for the body), necessary to maintain energy and survive. But rarely do we think of food that way with each meal we are about to eat. In the hustle and bustle of the western way of life, food is either rushed to be chewed and swallowed, skipped because it is not convenient, and few times a week we sit down and chew, and swallow slowly because we enjoy the taste. So taste is very important to eaters with poor eating habits.
The body feels better, thinks clearer, functions smoother and is more productive when eating wholesome food, unhurried and accompanied by a few relaxing moments. Food that is tasty and appetizing is fun to eat. But let’s take a look at food that has energy. High energy food means it gives a lot of energy to the dining party. I don’t expect you to remember lists of high energy food, however I do have a recipe for a high energy dessert. It is tasty, appetizing and easy to make.
It takes this list of ingredients. Cranberry sauce (prefer 2 cans), mandarine oranges, baby marshmallows, beaten egg whites with a little white sugar added ( make it fluff up into peaks), a cup and a half of walnut chips, pears cut up small and save the juice, two cups of red cherries, small pieces of coconuts, and a sprinkle of 1 and1/2 half cup of old fashioned oat meal. Mix, stir and chill. Yum. Yum. You have a high energy dessert.
This will give you energy as a snack food or a dessert. Eat and get back to work, or eat and enjoy what you accomplished and dine with your friends.
